About Me
My name is Zachary Lloyd and I am currently a Sophomore at Appalachian State University, located in Boone, NC. I am a Music Theory and Composition Major, and Piano Performance Minor. I've been in love with taking pictures since I was little and began playing around with my parents camera. It was the best Christmas ever when I received my very first camera! It wasn't anything you could take amazing pictures with, but it was the best thing in the world to me. I took pictures of everything and everyone everywhere. I would then import them onto my computer and "edit" them. I eventually upgraded to a better point-and-shoot camera about five years ago. It was 12 megapixels which was a slight upgrade over the one that I had owned before. Once again, I filled up my 8GB SD card with ease.
Over the past year and a half though, I have really been taking photography more serious. I've read up on how to take good pictures, and read many beginner guides to photography to make sure I was getting the best images I could. It was learning simple things such as the rule of thirds that made a big change in my images. I ended up taking most of my pictures with my iPhone 6 starting in October, 2014. It was easy to carry around, I always had it with me, and it wasn't bad quality. However, I've decided that in order to start taking better images, I need to upgrade my equipment.
